Project Management, Reporting & Risk Management (PM&R)

Project Management, Reporting & Risk Management (PM&R, WBS 2.6.3), enables an effective virtual organization through application of project management principles, provides visibility to project progress, successes, and challenges, brings new ideas and management practices into the project and disseminates lessons learned in XSEDE to other virtual organizations.

In this section we will briefly cover the following topics:


 

What is a Key Performance Indicator (KPI)?

A Key Performance Indicator is a quantitative metric designed to assess performance of a specific XSEDE WBS. Each WBS should list their KPIs and provide descriptions or explanations of their purpose and method of implementation and evaluation. 

 

What reports are needed and when?

XSEDE Leadership is required to submit "Interim Project Reports". Each XSEDE WBS must provide summaries of their own performance reports. Learn more about XSEDE Reporting. XSEDE also requires each WBS to submit a quarterly report. Learn more about quarterly reporting

 

Who is responsible to provide them?

The L2 and/or L3 Managers for each WBS are responsible for gathering relevant information, generating the reports, and submitting them in a timely manner.
