Confluence

Confluence is a collaborative software platform developed by Atlassian. It has been described as a wiki but supports a variety of media types and formatting options. It is intended to take the place of the now retired TeraGrid Forum wiki.

JIRA

XSEDE's JIRA portal is a "project management" and "issue/bug tracking" software product developed by Atlassian. You would use JIRA if you are tracking the progress of a project and its milestones, or if you are resolving problems within a particular project.

Both Confluence and JIRA are widely used within XSEDE.

Did you know?

Confluence is a public site, viewable by everyone, but it also offers the option for private content if you have an account and are logged in. 

XSEDE's JIRA portal on the other hand is a private site accessible only with an account.

To get an account on either the XSEDE Confluence or JIRA portals, contact your supervisor.
