    • Workforce Development - Linda
      • Training – Susan
        • Looking forward to adding more materials to YouTube.
        • HPC monthly workshop now virtual – working on a one-pager on pluses and minuses of virtual offering.
      • Student Programs – Rosie
        • Wrapped up training at Cal State LA last Saturday (Python training).
          • Increased users from underrepresented communities.
          • Will use lessons learned to help with future virtual trainings/seminars.
        • EMPOWER –Spring:  students are wrapping up their last report; students are going to set up on portal so they can be counted in numbers; most students were able to complete their projects. Summer program: still working on decisions on who to participate; 65 students applied; 3 independent reviews for each student to avoid bias; hoping to make final decisions on who to accept. Fall: continuing to accept applications for undergrad students and mentors until 7/10.
        • International Summer School – not going to have in-person event and asking students if they want it virtually or simply next year (Right now, ¾ want it next year); asking staff if they have materials that can be used in a virtual setting or if they have the time to deliver materials. 
      • Education – Kate 
        • CSU LA workshop – took material that was going to be used in March and tweaked it so it can be used remotely.
        • Summer workshops: Chemistry in June doing virtually – nearly 80 registrants; Computational thinking workshop in development.
        • Faculty workshop advanced computing for social change workshop in planning process for virtual.
    • User Engagement – Bryan
      • Still trying to get everyone to do staff survey.
      • Finished up annual report.
      • Begin reaching out to PIs to see if they’re diverting anything toward covid to be able to pass that information along.
    • Broadening Participation – Linda 
      • Adding a person for Advanced computing for social change curriculum development – data science fellow.
      • Regular check-in faculty. 
    • UII – Maytal
      • Working on revamping of account creation; a little bit of back and forth re: city, state, zip code.
      • Orchid integration.
      • Work with White House covid consortium.
      • Working on upgrading systems.
    • Campus Engagement – Dana and Henry
      • Election is running – 4 positions open – 4 candidates.
        • Nominations have closed.
      • Meeting of leadership team occurred 5/5.
      • Working on getting speakers for virtual residency workshops – almost all filled.
